Why Superwomen training?

I contacted Florence due to a back injury, weight gain and being extremely unfit. I was feeling tired and alone in my journey to become fit again. I attended group classes 1-2x a week purely because Florence was such a sweet, authentic, and steady person to be around, and eventually I grew to love the exercise itself. Her classes are the perfect blend of fun and intense; class sizes are small so she is quickly able to tailor the workout to individual needs. Watching my strength improve each week was so wonderful for my well-being and self-esteem. I developed enough confidence to use the weight section of public gyms, which felt unimaginable just a few months before. With pandemic restrictions, her outdoor group classes were excellent over the Summer, and her indoor gym space is kept clean and safe. Altogether, I can’t recommend her highly enough. I started training with Florence because I was looking to get into a solid workout routine. I’d tried home workouts on-and-off throughout the years but they never really stuck... I decided to start off with a personal trainer.

About Florence

Florence Scheepers is a psychology grad and kinesiology student. She is a certified personal trainer for the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology, as well, a fitness instructor, and yoga teacher. She loves being outdoors, fine art, and lifting heavy things.

Although Florence was an active kid, a sports injury made even walking a struggle. After slowly recovering for over four years, Florence realized how important fitness is on one’s physical and mental health. She started exercising at the gym and became passionate with leading group exercise classes.

Unfortunately, the lengthily gym sessions, strict dieting, and delivering daily, high intensity workouts to patrons, took its toll. Rather than feeling healthy and strong, fitness had become over consuming and damaging.

Florence started to embrace the joy exercise can bring. Activities such as yoga are now viewed as rejuvenating and stimulating and lifting became a skill to master. As well food became nourishing and fuel to the body. With the new mindset, Florence returned to further her education with ambition to share her knowledge and love of fitness with others.
